Sunday: 13 Zulhijjah 1436

It's the first day of school after we're having a nice 10-day break plus Eid Adha. Everyone was still in holiday mood. Especially those who are not sitting for the big exams.

I arrived late at school due to lots of cars on the road. It's hard to overtook the cars in front of me. But still managed to arrive before 8.

And we have an assembly with the new Principal. I know everyone hate assembly especially in the evening where we (the teachers) need to go home and rest. But it's only twice a month so I consider it as OK.

I have to go through the storm on my way back home. I never drive 60km/h and it's like very tiring day for me. It's raining cats and dogs and I couldn't see the view clearly. I think I need to change the wipers. I can't even see a thing! But I managed to overtook a lorry (and I'm risking myself) and phew! it's better than crawling behind it.

Safely arrived home at 6.45. Muhammad was waiting for me in the living room with his Atok. He's already took his shower and tried to tell me about the heavy rain in his own language. I somehow can understand a little bit. Haha!

We went to bed earlier than usual. He knew that I was tired and he didn't want to burden me with his daily activities (making a mess and throwing his books on the floor just for fun).

Thank you, Muhammad! Mmuuaahss!!

I read the fifth book of Princess Diaries: Princess in Pink. Now enjoying the Princess Diaries. Very funny book even though sometimes I think Mia can be a little bit annoying.

notes from the author (who generally ignore this blog until she realizes that she has to have only one blog to manage)

I know it's been ages since I haven't write anything here.

And suddenly I come up with a very long post title. Because I need to tell myself that I don't have to be too rigid. I used to have one blog. This blog.

Reason: to write anything that I want.

But then, I thought that I should use this blog to write stories. English stories to begin with. And I created another blog for my Malay stories. Then, I thought it should be okay if I create one more blog for my journal.

But I was wrong. I couldn't manage three blogs. I start to ignore them one by one because of laziness. Yeah, lazy is the most suitable word to describe for the current state. I have a lot of things to settle (classes, meetings and exams)

Last night, I was thinking of letting go one of my blog. The journal. I can write anything here. No one will get mad or anything if I don't post my stories. No one will ever bother with what kind of things that I write. I don't even care what kind of comments they will write in the comment box.

The thought of flourishing the blog for having three of them is totally wrong. They're not even flourish. Haha!

So, I decided to let the other blog go. I should stick to one (or two).

Maybe I should write a diary or something...hehe.

Happy Eid Mubarak!

The Diary of Amethyst, The Dragon Rider: 4

Chapter 4

Early Summer: Day 2

[credit by Naviretlav: Deviantart]

It’s hard to swallow that I’m a princess. Me? A PRINCESS!? It’s like a wish comes true. Well, I once wanted to be a princess when all of my family members – my previous family members, actually, ignored me.

Dad told me this morning after breakfast. He said that I need to know the truth. He wanted to tell me last night but he wanted to surprise me, waiting for the right time.

I met people in the Middle. They are only 30 people. Some of them are still travelling, seeking adventures and spying on the bad guys. I met my friends and they were happy to see me. I realized that they are the ones I met in my dreams. And I remembered their names!

We chatted and chatted until lunch. We had lunch together under the sun. Even though it’s summer but it’s not too hot. The weather is fine. Since day is longer than night (it’s summer, obviously), the girls were curious whether I still remember the boy whom used to be my mutual enemy. I met one this morning. His name is Pyrite and he’s very annoying, especially when he told me that he can do magic greater than I am. He laughed at me when I still can’t remember a lot of things and he made me wanted to whack his head!

Then Dad told me about the Dragon Pearls when we hang around the house in the evening.

You see, I’m the Lomss clan princess and I was born as a dragon rider. The Dragon Pearls, on the other hands, are the symbol of the birth of the dragon riders. Dad and his brothers have each – the pearls nearly aged more than 400 years according to the shape and colours. Dad showed me the Dragon Pearl that he kept at home. It’s a size of a tennis ball but I can feel that it had its own power.

I asked about my Dragon Pearl but Dad said that I need to be a dragon rider first, and then the pearl will appear. Some need to be searched because they were scattered everywhere. But only the dragon rider can find it.

Aunt Lithium came by. She has short wavy hair and for me, she’s like an actress. She’s my mother’s good friend and Dad told me that she’s an expert in carving. She also knew more about ancient history. She said that I need to learn the Lomss language and she’ll be teaching me during weekend. I can’t wait for language lesson!

I need to sleep early because tomorrow is my first day of training.

Chapter 3

Early Summer: Day 1
(There’s no exact date in this world. They use the number of days and the season, according to my brother, Turq)

This place is called Dew. And there are four parts of Dew; Jetty, Gate, Middle and End (Turq and Lode told me earlier). I am now in the Middle. This place is a mystery to me. It’s way beyond my imagination.

This place is surrounded by waterfalls and only certain people can enter this place – people with good heart. I can’t believe I have a good heart. Found out that the houses in the Middle are semi-sphere shape, which is weird.

And the weirdest part is meeting my family. My real family. I have a father, a mother – the loveliest being I ever seen, my big brother, Turq and a little brother, Topaz, who looks exactly like Turq. I can imagine how’s Turq like when he was small.

They are very happy to see me. My parents cried in tears of joy. We talk a lot that night – it was night time when I arrived here. My parents bombarded me with questions about my life in Earth. I told them every single thing! And I am glad that I’ve found a family like this.

Turq promised me to show me around Middle next day. He told me to have a rest. Topaz wanted to sleep with me because this is the first time he met his long lost sister. It’s good to have a brother like him. He’s super cute!

The Diary of Amethyst the Dragon Rider: 2

Chapter 2

22 February 2010

Today is the best day of my life!

I score full marks in History pop quiz. I speak flawlessly during public speaking in English class. I present well in the Biology class – it’s about bacteria. I feel like…wow!!

Clara sits next to me in Social Study class and she even asks me to eat with her during the break. I am not surprised by that because she’s a fair-weather friend. She’ll leave me alone in a couple of days, trust me.

Mom sends a text to me when I’m in the library doing homework. She says that their eating out so I should knock something up for lunch. I think I’ll eat out too. There’s a cafeteria near school. I know Mom doesn’t want to wait for me if she wanted to eat out with the rest of my family. And I don’t mind either. My family doesn’t want me to be with them. I don’t know why. I rarely spend my precious time with them except dinner. Maybe I’m not as clever as my other siblings – they always get flying colour results in every tests and exams. I never get good results since I enter school. I know I’m not bright.

Watch TV after dinner and go to bed. Wake up because of the strange buzzing sound in my room. I’m shock to see two guys standing in my room. One is dead weird and one is dead handsome. And that handsome guy looks very familiar.

I threaten them by using the baseball bat – lucky for me to put the baseball bat near my bed post. They explain that they are searching for someone and suddenly the handsome guy – his name is Turq, asks me where did I get the necklace. I tell him about it and his face expressions changes abruptly.

He claims that I’m his long lost sister and he’s been looking for me for ages, after the war. They convince me that the necklace is the proof. No one can wear it except for the owner. I don’t know what to say to them because I’m still thinking that I must be dreaming. They convince me once more that I’m not dreaming.

Turq asks his other friend, Lode to open the portal. I don’t want to go with them in the first place but suddenly I have a second thought. Maybe it’s true that I belong to other world, their world. Maybe I can get the answer of my weird dream.

The Diary of Amethyst The Dragon Rider: 1

21 February 2010

I have the same dream just like last night and the other nights since last week. And this time it’s 88.5 percent vivid. I can recall the flying scene and a woman giving a beautiful necklace to me. It’s like an amulet. I think it’s an amulet, by the way. It is light purple and I think I’ve seen it somewhere a long time ago.

Dad is on rage on the telephone again. Mom asks him and he says that the stupid PA of him forgot to tell him about the important meeting this morning. So, he’s late and rushes to the car. He mumbles something but I cannot hear it clearly. He must be swearing some swearing words. He always swears when he’s mad.

I’m thinking of going to the library during recess when I reach school but I need to sit in for the class meeting with the Principal. I don’t know why I have to go but I can’t say no to Clara because she’s the class president and she has another meeting with her club. She likes to pick up on me ever since she’s been nominated as the class president. No one wants the boys to be the president because they are dead stupid (that’s what Clara told us). She’s bossy and some of the boys are very annoyed of her.

The meeting was short – thank God! But I didn't manage to go to the library. Damn! Have to go there tomorrow then. Mom is not at home so as my eldest sister and youngest brother. I think they are off somewhere, maybe at their friends’ house. Mom is ridiculously busy nowadays because she’s planning something for next month with her group of friends. I don’t want to know what the plan is anyway.

My eyes nearly pop out as I enter the room. There’s the amulet in my dream on my table. I rub my eyes few times – maybe I’m having a hallucination, but the amulet is there. Right there, on the table. I look around and take the amulet, wear it and take a look at myself at the mirror. It’s pretty and it’s fit me.

I like this necklace. I hope that it can do magic.

Note from the owner

It's been ages since I updated my last post here. I know most of my blog friends are wondering why I haven't posted anything for nearly a year. I've been busy with my daily work and I have a new job; a mother.

Yes, I am now a mother of a little tyke called Baby Muhammad. Being a mother is super cool and amazing. But there are challenges; some of them great, some of them brings me down a little bit. But that doesn't I quit writing stories.

I write a lot but never have time to post in this blog. I saved them in my laptop, so some editing when I have free time and write more when the baby is fast asleep (like right now!)

I'm trying my best to keep this blog alive again. Filled this blog with interesting stories. I tried once to write a funny story but failed. I realized that I'm more to fantasy and magic.

Sorry for keeping you guys waiting for the stories to pop out in my blog. And I'm sorry for not visiting some of your blogs too.

Best wishes,
FeiLong
